Over centuries, building practices have revealed the relationship of individuals and cultures to their environment. My recent explorations concern the reuse of certain commercial designs intended to give the appearance of individuality while making use of savings inherent in the reuse of design. These images make use of the commonality in the structures to examine styles of American commercial architecture, such as motels.
