Greetings!

Hello again. This month promises to be a busy one. In mid- August Steve will hold two book signing events in the Pacific Northwest for his new book, Earth Forms. Later in the month he will hold an event in Tucson. We're also traveling to San Diego for a major group show for which one of Karen's images was selected.

Steve will be visiting Newspace Center for Photography in Portland, OR, on Thursday, August 13th beginning at 7pm. Following this talk, Steve will be available to sign books and to engage in further discussion regarding both his technical and aesthetic approach to capturing and interpreting landscape images. Newspace Center for Photography is located at 1632 SE 10th Avenue.

On August 15, Steve will move up the coast to Seattle where he will also sign copies of Earth Forms at the Benham Gallery, 1216 1st Ave. Besides the new book, a selection of images drawn from Earth Forms will be available for purchase in both locations.

On August 27, Steve will have his first Tucson area event, giving a talk on his photography at Academy Village in Vail and signing books.

For those people unable to attend a book signing, we would like to remind you that you may obtain a signed copy of Earth Forms directly from us. Please the book website to see examples of its content. If you would like to purchase a copy, just reply to this email and we will be happy to make arrangements with you to obtain a copy.We also offer a combination of a signed book and a signed print (8" x 8") of one of the images in the book, for $90.

At the end of August we travel to San Diego for the opening of The Art of Photography show in the Lyceum Theater Gallery in the old gaslight district. Karen's image was among only 111 pieces selected by Charlotte Cotton from 16,000 entries submitted by artists in 57 countries! You are all invited to the free Opening Reception Gala on August 29th from 6 -10 pm.

The Arizona Biennial '09 will continue to be on exhibit at the Tucson Museum of Art through September 25. On September 26 the show will close with an auction of many of the pieces in the show, including Karen's motel image, as a benefit for the Museum.

As a final note, Steve has had his image of the Haleakala Crater on Maui accepted into a juried show at the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, CA. The show will open on September 19 and run through December 5.
