Recent activity ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Last month we forgot to announce that the Boston Museum of Fine Arts has acquired 4 of Steve's images for their permanent collection. His work has also been selected for inclusion in two upcoming publications. Steve is one of 6 photographers selected by juror Deborah Klomp Ching from the annual Photography Now competition. Portfolios of these photographers' work will be published in Issue 99 of Photography Quarterly, published by the Center for Photography at Woodstock. He is also one of 15 photographers to have their work selected to appear in the Center for Fine Art Photography's Portfolio ShowCase Volume 4: Book and Online Exhibition. Karen has had one of her photographs, Warehouse, Marfa, TX, selected for inclusion in the Photospiva 2010 exhibition at the George A. Spiva Center for the Arts in Joplin, MO. The exhibit will run from March 6 - April 25, 2010. | |

Immediately following the Patagonia Writer's Roundup we will leave for Death Valley and the surrounding Mojave desert to photograph. On March 13th Steve and his co-author, Douglas Isbell will be present at the Tucson Festival of Books on the University of Arizona campus. They will discuss their book, Observatories of the Southwest, between 1 and 2 pm at the main UA bookstore. Sidney Wolff, past Director of Kitt Peak National Observatory will moderate a discussion with the authors. They will sign copies of their book later in the afternoon. If you are unable to attend either of these book signings, you may purchase Observatories of the Southwest at Amazon. Karen will be the Emerging Artist at Verve Gallery of Photography in Santa Fe, NM. Her work will be shown online and in conjunction with the exhibit by photographers Mark Citret, Douglas Ethridge & Dominic Rouse in a show running from March 19 - May 8. Steve will have a book signing for Earth Forms at the Houston Center for Photography on March 18, from 6 - 9 pm. We will be in Houston between March 17th and the 20th to attend The Meeting Place at FotoFest 2010 where our photography portfolios will be reviewed by gallery owners, publishers and curators. In April we travel to the East coast to visit dealers and galleries, and to present two talks, at the Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge and at UMass in Amherst. There will also be a book signing for Earth Forms at The Odyssey in South Hadley, Massachusetts. In May we travel to the Portland area for photography and for Steve's show at the Camerawork Gallery.
