Greetings! Introduction
Steve's Seattle One Person Exhibit ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A few weeks ago we flew to Seattle for the reception for Steve's one person show at the Benham Gallery near the harbor and the Seattle Art Museum. They titled the exhibit "Freakin' Stunning." After the reception we spent several days with our daughter and her family in the Portland area.
Trip to Italy's Hill Country ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We will very soon be flying to Italy where Steve will give a talk at the observatory in Florence. Following our visit with the astronomers we will spend several days in the Italian hill country. Then we will drive to Verona for a key purpose of our trip, to work with the printer of Steve's new monograph of his landscape images in order to match the color balance. He has already reviewed the first set of proofs from the printer and will send the corrections back to them tomorrow so that we can undertake the second pass when we arrive in Verona. The publisher of the book is Dewi Lewis Publishing in Heaton Moor, Stockport, in the UK. The book will be available this summer and will contain 2 essays on Steve's landscape images, one by Greg McNamee and another by Albert Stewart.
Amadeus Show in Tubac ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Karen will have 2 images in the show "Amadeus" at the Tubac Center for the Arts. The opening reception will be from 5 - 7 pm on March 27 in Tubac. The show will run for a month. All in the neighborhood are invited to the reception.
Photolucida in Portland, OR ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Finally, just a week after returning from Italy, we will begin driving up to Oregon to take part in Photolucida in Portland for portfolio reviews and to talk with other photographers, curators and gallery owners. After this event we will again visit the Oregon coast followed by the Oregon desert on our drive home. |
