Greetings!

Despite unusually cold and windy condition we thoroughly enjoyed what appears to have been a very productive 10 days of photographing in Capitol Reef and Canyonlands National Parks. The trip also provided an opportunity to complete the visit to the overlook of the Dirty Devil River which was so rudely interrupted last fall by an unfortunate car accident.

We attended the Palm Springs Photo Festival. We enjoyed constructive meetings with museum curators, publishers, and gallery directors; and received a plethora of helpful technical advice from seminars and from off-line conversations; and stimulating evening talks.

Karen and Steve's joint show at the Griffin Museum of Photographyremains on view at the Atelier Gallery at the Stoneham Theatre in Stoneham, MA.

Steve has had 10 images accepted for the Future Forward, first annual juried members' photography exhibition at the Silver Eye Center for Photography in Pittsburgh. This show opened on March 22. An interview with Steve, conducted by the gallery director, Ellen Fleurov, about his photography can be read on the Heinz Foundation website. A review of the show, from the Pittsburgh Tribune, is also available.

Steve has an image included in the show Center Forward at the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, CO. The show will open in June 3 with a reception from 6 - 9 pm.

Karen's image, Casa Blanca Inn, has been accepted by the photographers:network 2011. This exhibit will be published by PROFIFOTO, a leading national photography magazine for professionals in Germany, will be published on Thomas Kellner's (the organizer) website, and will open in his studio in Siegen, Germany on June 24 , 2011.

Karen will be attending the Review Santa Fe juried portfolio review in early June to discuss her new work with gallerists and museum curators. If you are in the area, please join us at the public events. The open portfolio viewing will be held Friday evening, June 3 from 5 - 7:30pm at the Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza. The Indie Photobook Library wil be at the hotel on June 3 & 4 exhibiting their collection of independently published photography books.

Karen has learned that she will have a solo show of works selected from her Illusions of Reality and Architectronics portfolios in September in the Porter Hall gallery at the Tucson Botanical Garden.

Steve has learned that he will have a one person show in September 2012 at the Etherton Gallery in the Temple Gallery space featuring his Earth and Space images. He will follow that with a show at the Verve Gallery in Santa Fe in October which will show these images as well as a wider variety of his imagery.
